This is India’s oldest and largest herbal research institute. It was set up in 1948. It is a multi- disciplinary organization having the facility for advance product Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology and Botanical Sciences. The major areas of research include standardizing the agro technology of Medicinal and Aromatic plants, their propagation techniques, isolation of active fraction/s and single molecules from such plants. Screening for the bioactivity of these plants extracts/ fractions and molecules and exploiting the microbes for useful reactions.

Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients
Jamia Hamdard evolved to higher learning in Unani Medicine, Islamic Studies, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Nursing and other areas of knowledge by its founder as a means of fulfilling the objects of the wakf. Over a period of last ten years, Jamia Hamdard has emerged as an outstanding institution of higher learning with distinct and focused academic programmes
The National Center for Natural Products Research is housed in the Thad Cochran Research Center at The University of Mississippi. The National Center is a unique university-affiliated research center devoted to improving human health and agricultural productivity through the discovery, development, and commercialization of phamaceuticals and agrochemicals derived from natural products. Research in the Center focuses on discovering new drugs for unmet therapeutic needs such as cancer and infectious diseases, improving the quality and safety of dietary supplements, and discovering new, effective agrochemicals that will not harm the environment.

Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang is joinly founded by provincial government of Zhejiang and Tsinghua University, under commitments from both sides to leverage each other’s advantages and facilitate mutual development. Key laboratories, engineering research centers and post-dotorate station have been set up in fields such as advances manufacturing, information technology, biomedicine, environmental protection and marine development.

The Nutrition and Food Research Group, led by Prof. Jeya Henry at Oxford Brookes, is internationally renowned for its work on Glycaemic Index and is the largest Testing Centre in Europe. The Nutrition and Food Research Group has been working for over 20 years, providing high quality customer-focused research and consultancy services to the food and nutrition industry, UN and Government agencies in the UK and overseas.

Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant (CEPP) is a multi-purpose R&BD facility located at UTM campus, Skudai, Johor Darul Takzim. CEPP is a R&BD centre focuses on developing products and processes for the specialty chemical industry. It assists in the development of high value components and innovative processing technology for industries such as nutraceuticals, herbal, phytochemicals, flavour and fragrance, food ingredients, probiotics, biopesticides & biofertilizer.
